 The Answers to Your Questions.

It's obvious that support is one of the most important factors in choosing a webhost. For this reason we offer several different ways for you to get the help you need as soon as you need it. The first place you should look is in the Frequently Asked Questions section below. There, you'll find answers to the questions that many people have contacted us about.

If you are a new customer, looking to change over from one host to Machfront, then read the step-by-step instructions on the Switch Page. You can also submit questions to our Support Forum. It's an online community of people (including ourselves) who are ready to help. If none of these options works for you, you can also Submit a Question to our staff. We will try to answer you as soon as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions:

How do I make a webpage?
There are many different ways to create a webpage, and their intricacies cannot be explored here. The most basic way to create a webpage is through an editor such as Microsoft Frontpage or Macromedia Dreamweaver. These programs help you create a webpage much in the way that you would make a file in Microsoft Word.

Of course, you can also program your own page in HTML in a simple text editor like Notepad. This method is much more technical, and sometimes more confusing. To research and learn about this more, use resources that are available on the Internet like Webmonkey and see their HTML Basics section.

How do I upload my webpage?
To upload your documents to our server you'll either want to use an FTP program like WS_FTP or AceFTP. Unfortunately these programs can cost money. So you also have two other options. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher you can use the built in one. All you'll need to do is point your browser to ftp.yourdomain.com.

When you are prompted for the username and password by your FTP program or browser you'll want to use the ones that Machfront provided for you. The Host name/Address is simply your domain name, like www.yourdomain.com, or ftp.yourdomain.com. Once you are logged in, you will be able to upload your own HTML files to our server to the httpdocs folder.

Or you can log into My Account, go to your Domain name, and use the File Manager to upload, delete, move, and even edit files.

 How do I use WebMail?
Once your account is set up (See this question if you haven't done that yet) you'll simply be able to go to webmail.yourdomain.com and you will go straight to the login screen for your webmail.

How do I change my password?
Technically, you have two passwords if you're a Machfront customer. You have a password to login to My Account, and then you have a separate FTP username and password for each domain name. (If Machfront set your domain name up originally, these will both be the same.)

To change your My Account Password: (Username cannot be changed)
